Melisma has given concerts and taken part in services throughout Northern Ireland and beyond. Notable triumphs have included residencies at the cathedrals in Ripon, Winchester, Salisbury, Gloucester and Dublin and performances with Sir David Willcocks and Barry Rose.

In 2007 Melisma took part, alongside soloists from the Ulster Orchestra, in a series of chamber recitals for BBC Radio Ulster, followed by a much acclaimed appearance on Sing Carols for BBC 1 NI and BBC Radio Ulster. In March 2008 Melisma was invited to take part in the Northern Ireland First Minister’s St Patrick’s Day concert at Stormont.

Melisma has appeared with the string ensemble Sinfonietta and

rock band Hooker in a series of acclaimed concerts at the Waterfront and Ulster halls. Entitled ‘Eclection’, the concerts showcase each group and bring them together in exciting crossover collaborations. With nine sell-out concerts under their belts the groups are looking forward to a tenth  collaboration in June 2013.

In July 2009 the group travelled to New York for services and concerts in Saint Thomas Fifth Avenue, Trinity Church Wall Street and St John the Divine and in November that year Melisma took part in BBC Radio 3’s Sing Hallelujah Project to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the death of Handel. Philip Stopford led Melisma and a choir of 100 voices from all over Northern Ireland in a performance of the Hallelujah Chorus and Melisma gave a short recital, which was later broadcast on Radio 3. In July 2011 Melisma sang the Sunday morning service on BBC Radio 4.

As well as concerts in and around Belfast and a short tour to Chester Cathedral and Cheshire in the first half of 2012, Melisma featured in an episode of John Anderson’s Sing Out on BBC Radio Ulster in June. In December the group recorded a Christmas Concert in Down Cathedral for BBC Radio Ulster’s Sounds Classical programme, and gave their annual Christmas concert in St George's Church, Belfast, both to great acclaim.
